Thanksgiving at the Depot

Thanksgiving at the Depot

ThanksgivingThanksgiving is my favorite time of year. I get to see my family and get caught up on what they all have been doing. Some are teachers, some in business, and some are retired. But the important thing is the feeling of warmth and hominess at this time of year.
And of course, there’s turkey with all the trimmings. The women in the family are great cooks, and although they would rather order in most of the time, they know that we’re all looking forward to their home cooking.
Of course, with the economy in the doldrums for many, not everyone is having a happy holiday. So, we contribute what we can to those charities that help those in need – especially at this time of year.
Everyone falls down at one time or other, and when it happens, having a helping hand is a godsend and blessing, so we try to do our part, and ask that, if you are reading this, that you do the same. It will be paid back in spades. I promise.

So, may God bless you and yours with health, happiness, and, on this Thanksgiving, 2010, a ton of turkey.
